Inaugural Celebration
After the inaugural ceremony, the UNT Health Science Center “family” celebrated at the “World of Pasta-bilities” Campus Celebration. An estimated 850 employees, students, their family members and DO Dash runners
attended the party.

The celebration also served as a “carb-loading” dinner for participants of the annual DO Dash. Blue Mesa, a Metroplex favorite, catered the pasta and about 500 pounds of chicken! |

The silent auction raised $2,260 for the DO Dash. Auction items included handmade jewelry and gift certificates. |
Live music was provided by the Moo-Town Rockers… a band made up of Fort Worth City administrators. |
The weather was perfect for the on-campus event at the UNT Health Science Center’s Alumni Plaza. |
UNTHSC international students from India presented Dr. Ransom with a “Pagadi.” The headdress is a sign of respect, appreciation and admiration. Students from India make up about 80 percent of the Health Science Center’s international students. |

Dr. Lori Fischbach, assistant professor of epidemiology, was the lucky winner of the grand-prize drawing for a three-night stay for two at any Fairmont Resort Hotel in the world, courtesy of Travel Service Everywhere and airfare for two sponsored by Green Urban Development, Urban Race Street and Milagros Consulting. |
