University of North Texas Center for Human Identification Development, validation, and implementation of new and improved methods are major components of the Center for Human Identification's committed. The Center strives to provide cost effective, optimal, and innovative methods as contributions to the dynamic DNA field.

This research could eventually provide DNA recovery methods for the identification of severely degraded and damaged remains samples. New expert software evaluations are being investigated which could dramatically improve turn around times.
