Reducing the Risk of Pneumococcal Infection in Cancer Patients
In patients being treated for cancer, a bacterial infection caused by Streptococcus pneumonia can cause a significant morbidity, prolonged hospitalization and increase mortality. The goal of this activity is to equip health care professionals with information related to current vaccination and patient assessment recommendations to facilitate vaccination status ascertainment and patient education. Fibromyalgia Diagnosis & Treatment: Persistent Barriers to Better Patient Care
The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) - in cooperation with the Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association (IPMA), the CME Institute of Physicians Postgraduate Press, AXDEV Group, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) - has planned a variety of educational activities to minimize barriers related to fibromyalgia diagnosis and management, with the goal of improving the care received by patients.
