PDI and DNA Lab on Fox news tonight
FOX 4 News interviewed George Adams, program project coordinator UNTHSC's Center for Human Identification, today about efforts to collect DNA samples from Dallas-area prostitutes. The DNA samples could help identify the prostitutes in the event that they are reported missing, comatose or murdered. The story is scheduled to appear on FOX 4 News' 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m. newscasts today. Channel 33 also interviewed Adams on the story.

When Dr. Henry Plummer developed the concept of the "unit record" nearly 100 years ago, his idea was to place all of a patient's records in a single file that traveled with the patient and could be stored in a central repository. His concept of medical care continuity quickly became the standard for medical record keeping around the world.
Wilkie honored with 2009 Vision Award
Valleau Wilkie, Jr., executive vice president of the Sid W. Richardson Foundation, was honored with the University of North Texas Health Science Center's Vision Award at the institution's annual gala on Oct. 10.
