EAD signUNT Health Science Center continues to make headlines in both local and national publications.

The UNT Center for Human Identification (CHID) was part of many articles across the world. The CHID was on the NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, on the Today Show on Sunday Morning, as well as CW Channel 33 and CBS Channel 11 locally, for its role in identifying victims of serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

Bruce Budowle, PhD, professor of Applied Genetics, was quoted by the BBC and others on the federal bioterror preparedness. USA Today also quoted Budowle recently in an article about anthrax.

Don Peska, DO, dean of Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, was quoted in a Dallas Morning News article regarding the importance of the physical examination.

The Fort Worth Business Press featured the UNTHSC School of Public Health's partnership with the TCU Neeley School of Business. Richard Kurz, dean of the School of Public Health, was quoted.

Kathryn Cardarelli, PhD, associate professor of Epidemiology, talked about breast cancer on KVHN-AM during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Scott Walters, PhD, professor of Behavioral and Community Health, was quoted in a CBS News article about alcohol poisoning and the death of Amy Winehouse.
