Business Incubation

The TECH Fort Worth Acceleration Lab at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is a commercialization initiative that provides support for technology-based companies enrolled in the Acceleration Program at TECH Fort Worth, a non-profit business and technology incubator.

Located at the Center for BioHealth on the campus of the UNT Health Science Center, the Acceleration Lab offers six laboratories outfitted with work benches, vent hoods, sinks, and other standard fixtures. The Acceleration Lab also provides office space, administrative support, and business development assistance to Acceleration Program clients. Eligible clients may also qualify for benefits that include copier, fax, scanner and laser printer use, telecommunication and computing support, conference room access and garage parking.

Client companies also derive the benefit of guidance from the UNT Health Science Center, Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization and Office of Research, which are co-located in the Center for BioHealth.

The TECH Fort Worth Acceleration Program is the second step of a three-step program (Incubation, Acceleration, and Launch) instituted for the development of new companies that possess proprietary technology and a sound business plan. Clients of the Acceleration Program work closely with TECH Fort Worth staff to create a business infrastructure, build a management team, select external advisors, acquire investments, and attain visibility in the community.

Benefits available to Acceleration Program clients are subject to change, and additional features and benefits may be available.
